Stand!

In a bid to fit into the society we find ourselves in, we realise that women live their entire lives for the men and children. This is not a wrong thing but the issue comes when you lose yourself while doing that. You're a woman, yes, but that doesn't make you dependent. You're a woman, yes, but you're also a being that has a personal life to live.
Ask many ladies today, all they want to do is get married after school(for those who even go), manage that small job and bear children. Life is beyond that. That's why we see our young ladies go into relationships aimlessly because of the 'i need a man' ideology. God created you a help. Fine. You can't give' what you don't have.
No strong spiritual stand
No ambition, dream
No career
No fashion sense
No kitchen and table etiquette
No manners
All these things add up to make you the woman of every mans dream. It shows forth the potential God has placed in you. You go beyond living for your husband and children. Build yourself, live for you first. Until you realise your stand as a being, you keep losing relevance even in marriage.
Even the proverbs 31 woman was industrious, she wasn't the kind of wife that the husband couldn't seek advice from, in fact, she made him respected. She made clothes for herself(self adornment), she's independent. She's wise. Take cue from her.

Food for thought

In whatever situation we find ourselves in in life, our perspective, our point of view
matters a whole lot ,what we see of the situation will determine if we'll overcome it or not in the end. Whatever we feel is as a result of what we take in, of the information we choose to believe
Let's consider a very popular story in the Bible - David and Goliath 1sam 17 ,now as we all know, Goliath the giant would come out each day to challenge the Israelites - 1sam 17: 8-10 - this he did for 40days straight and the Children of Israel were terrified vs 24.
David however came to the field and in that same day, challenged Goliath and conquered so what exactly made the difference between him and the soldiers? Their perspective. The soldiers at the warfront saw a giant challenging and threatning to kill Israel, David however saw a mortal man who defied God, not just the armies of Israel vs 26. This boost his faith because he knew Goliath couldn't go scott free.
In life, in our walk with God, trials and temptations would come, problems would set in at some point but our victory is determined by our mindset. Believe you're more than a conquereror and can do all things in Christ and you're settled, believe however that the problem is bigger than you and the devil keeps using your ignorance against you.
How do you approach your problems? Head on or with tail tucked between your legs? It's solely up to you..

So many times we try so hard to 'secure' our salvation,to 'work out' that eternal life we desperately need through honest concious efforts, self determination, self motivation ,dilligent service, discipline and the likes but we seem to forget it's practically impossible to do it all on our own. Rom 4:4 " Now to him that worketh is the reward not recokned of grace ,but of debt " Trying to do it all alone will only lead to a bottomless pit of debt, we seem to forget the gift Christ promised before leaving to help us - his Sweet Holy Spirit Jhn 14:16-18
Until we come to the realization that our Salvation is not and cannot be by our own efforts, that religiousity profits nothing but weariness, it'll lead to the same results each and every time we try - chronic guilt, self condemnation, failure, disappointment, depression, constant desire for idea.
Remember God has not left us alone in our struggles to do his will, he wants to come to and within us to help. Dear beloved, are you still struggling like Paul did? Rom 7:15-20. So painfully aware and fighting sin? Hand it all to the Holy Spirit to help Phil 2:12-13
"Better yet, redouble your efforts. Be energetic in your life of salvation, reverent and sensitive before God. That energy is God's energy, an energy deep within you, God himself willing and working at what will give him the most pleasure"

WHERE WILL YOU SPEND YOUR ETERNITY

Admin

On a late-night television show a popular playwright was
asked if making lots of money concerned him. The studio
audience went dead silent when he answered, “No...what
does concern me is the fear of dying.”
Most of us, like that studio audience, are too uncomfortable
with death to think clearly about our own eternal future. But
the fact is that one day you and I will die. We can live in fear
of the unknown or we can take a moment to consider what
the Bible says about eternity…it may be the most important
moment of your life.
First, let me ask you a simple question that will help you
face the issue:If you died tonight, where would you spend
eternity?
Most people, when asked that question, say something
like…“I’ve led a pretty good life. I hope I’d go to Heaven.” But
they’re not really sure. Why are they willing to risk their
future on wishful thinking when the Bible tells how they can
know for sure where they will go after death? Perhaps
because it’s so humbling to face the fact that we are sinners
in need of salvation. The Bible says that all fall short of God’s
glory (Romans 3:23). In our natural state none of us is pure
enough to enter Heaven; we need God’s forgiveness before
we can come before Him.
Entrance into Heaven is not based on what we have done,
but on what God has done for us through Jesus Christ. The
Bible says that “He that believeth on the Son hath everlasting
life: and he that believeth not the Son shall not see life; but
the wrath of God abideth [remains] on him” (John 3:36).
That’s why God sent His Son to take the punishment for our
sins, so that we won’t spend eternity in hell separated from
Him. “While we were yet sinners, Christ died for
us” (Romans 5:8). He willingly took our place, then he rose
from the dead three days later.
Now let me ask you the same question again:If you died
tonight, where would you spend eternity? Are you ready to
stand before God with Christ as your Savior or are you
willing to face Him in your sinfulness? The choice is yours.
If you choose God’s way, you can tell Him in words like
these: “Lord, I am turning from my own attempts to be
good enough. I accept Your offer of forgiveness and
salvation. Thank You that Christ died for me so my life can
change now and I can spend eternity with You.”
The person who truly believes that Christ is the only way to
God has this assurance from Christ Himself: “He that heareth
My word, and believeth on Him that sent Me, hath
everlasting life, and shall not come into condemnation but is
passed from death unto life” (John 5:24). I hope you’ll accept His amazing offer!
